Administrative Assistant Position: Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience

• High school diploma, post secondary education is a plus
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant, bookkeeper, or related position
• Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
• A solid working knowledge of bookkeeping, generally accepted accounting principles and working with both restricted and non-restricted funds
• Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machine
• Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and accounting software
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and public contact communication skills
• Experience in dealing with the public
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to keep confidential information
• Ability to accept supervision and work in a collaborative manner
• Valid drivers license and ability to travel for training

This is a 15-hour per week position in a small, friendly office. Most office hours are needed in the morning. Training will be provided for church related software applications and procedures.
