LESSONS AND CAROLS: Sunday, December 2nd-4 PM Holy Nativity. The Angical tradition of performing the festival of Nine Lessons and Carols during the season of Advent dates back to 1880. This year we’ll continue the tradition in collaboration with members of St. Luke’s parish, so please mark your calendars to attend this lovely event. Cooks and bakers are needed. There will be a sign-up sheet in the back of both churches.
LOAVES & FISHES: Meals are served at the NWTC Sturgeon Bay campus on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Fridays of each month. However, in November and December there will be no 4th Friday meals. The campus building will be closed for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. There is a Thanksgiving meal served at the Sturgeon Bay Methodist Church on Thanksgiving Day, November 22 at 4:30 PM. Call 743-3241 to make a reservation by Monday November 19.
CAP PANTRY: CAP Pantry needs reflect the weather–chili beans, canned tomatoes, hot cereal, jelly and soups. There is a continued need for toothbrushes. They appreciate and use any donation to the pantry. For those wishing to donate money, the check should be made out to Door County CAP Pantry, this assures that the money goes to buy food and not infrastructure needs. Amy and Sandi again thanked us for our continued support.
HURRICANE MICHAEL RELIEF: If you are interested in making a donation for Hurricane Michael Relief and are not sure or comfortable where to send it, you may send one to:
Episcopal Relief and Development
815 Second Avenue
New York, NY 10017
Your donation is tax deductible and should be designated for Hurricane Michael Relief. Or you can go online to Episcopal Relief.org and click on “Hurricane Michael Relief” for the donation form.
FEEDBACK FOR VESTRY: Everyone is invited to inform any member of the Vestry about any issue or idea relevant to our church. The next Vestry meeting is scheduled for 9:00am on November 14th at Christ the King.
