From Connie Sletto: Thank you to the Bishop’s Committee for the gift and recognition of my helping out in the office this summer while the administrative assistant position was vacant. I was glad to be able to cover the work, as well as get to know some of the congregation’s members a bit better.
POINSETTIAS: It’s time to order Christmas poinsettias and greens for the sanctuaries. If you would like to give a gift in honor or memory of someone in the form of a donation for these, please fill out an envelope located in the back of each church. Put your donation (suggested donation $15), in the envelope, and place in the offering tray. You may also call the church office, (920) 743-3286. A list of those remembered and their donors will be in the December 24th bulletin.
LESSONS & CAROLS: On December 3rd be sure to come and enjoy Lessons & Carols at St. Luke’s in Sister Bay at 4:00pm. For anyone who is participation in this year’s Lessons & Carols program rehearsal will be at 2:00pm on December 3rd.

SHOPPERS NEEDED!! In order to give our Christmas families a wonderful holiday, we need volunteers to shop for the members of each family. That means at least 6 people need to step up at each church. If you don’t want to go it alone, you are welcome to find a partner. The average total for each child is usually around $50 for clothes and $50 for toys. (Much less for the parents as they also receive gift cards for food, gas and extras.) If that doesn’t fit in your budget you can be reimbursed for some of the expense from the church’s Outreach budget. I have always found it fun to wander around looking for the items on the Wish Lists and deciding which of them to buy. REMEMBER: The families have given us WISH LISTS, NOT must have lists!
Be sure to indicate on the sign-up sheet which individual you took. If you are shopping for one of several children in a family, you are welcome to contact the person shopping for the other child to coordinate your efforts.
We still need Volunteers to coordinate the gifts at each church. I will be dropping off plastic bins at each church after Thanksgiving to put the gifts in to take to Feed my People. Remember to indicate which family and which individual you have shopped for. Gifts must be dropped off at church by the Weekend of December 9-10 and completed baskets taken to Feed My People by December 13. (Earlier is fine.)
If you have questions and ESPECIALLY if you want to volunteer to coordinate at each church, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 708-819-1959.
