The Episcopal Church of Christ the King and Holy Nativity seeks an individual with office management experience for a part-time position at our Sturgeon Bay church office. Resumes and references can be submitted to:

Essential Duties

  1. Prepare weekly church bulletin and worship service documents, and other necessary documents
  2. Receive phone calls, and walk-in visitors in a friendly, courteous, helpful manner
  3. Assist Vicar, Vestry committee members, and parishioners with requested documents and information
  4. Post parish announcements in weekly e-newsletter.
  5. Update Parish website and Facebook page
  6. Prepare agenda for Vestry meeting based on input from wardens and members
  7. Post and retrieve mail at Sturgeon Bay post office
  8. Respond to requests from community members for emergency financial assistance
  9.  Maintain confidentiality for all sensitive information

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience

  • High school diploma-post secondary education a plus
  • Proven experience office assistant or related  
  • Experience in website posting
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public contact communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with the public
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to keep confidential information
  • Ability to accept supervision and work in a collaborative manner
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel for training or meetings

Training and Oversight

The Vicar, Wardens, and church Treasurer will provide guidance and oversight of performance of duties.

This is a non-exempt salaried position. Hours per week:  10    

Wage per hour: $13.00

Benefits :  10 hours personal leave time after completion of probationary period; 403b account available
